I suppose this project was a natural follow on from Colour at Home, a return to my comfort zone of black and white photography but keeping a similar subject matter. It came about when Peter asked what had happened to a picture that had hung in our previous house, it turned out that it had been hanging next to the front door for almost 7 years and we no longer noticed it. That was the starting point, everyday objects that we take for granted so much so that we overlook them.
